Despite leading the world with regards to the quality of their research
a 2013 OCED report ranked Australia last in their ability to turn
publicly funded research into commercial outcomes. Reforms
announced by the Australian Research Council are being designed to
tackle the engagement and impact of Australia's research.
This conference will be one of the first opportunities to debate how
these reforms will be embedded at a University and how academics
will need to work within a new research landscape.
