Environmental awareness has gradually increased over the years, as more and more people choose to shop, consume and live in a generally more sustainable way. Mitigation and adaptation measures have been carried out in parallel to reduce the causes and the impacts of climate change. It is essential that adaptation strategies are integrated into local, regional and national planning frameworks to ensure their sustainability.
