Unfortunately, at one time or another, nearly everyone has some type of skin disease - infants, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. There are more than 3000 known skin diseases one in six (15%) of all visits to the doctor involves a skin problem. These results strongly recommend including skin disease prevention and treatment in future global health strategies. The burden of skin conditions was high in both high and low-income countries that encompass psychological, social and financial consequences of the skin disease on the patients and their families and on society indicating that prevention of skin diseases should be prioritized. Skin disorders can have a significant impact and can cause considerable discomfort and disability. However, most of the chronic skin conditions, such as leg ulcers, psoriasis, Vitiligo and atopic eczema are not so life-threatening but they are recognized as a considerable burden on quality of life and health status. On the other hand, skin cancers, such as malignant melanoma, is potentially life to threaten and their burden is associated with the mortality that they carry. Attendees are invited to stretch their boundaries, attend sessions, form collaborations, outside their own areas of expertise, and learn how to apply exciting new concepts, tools, and techniques to their own research.
