2012 is the bicentenary of the
publication of the first volume of the
Kinder- und Hausmärchen [Children’s and
Household Tales] by Jacob and Wilhelm
Grimm. As this groundbreaking collection
moves into its third century, this
conference explores the trajectory of
the Grimm phenomenon in Britain and the
English-speaking world. Examining the
varied and colourful reception history
