About the Author:
Vulf Plotkin, Ph.D., was a professor at several universities in the USSR, specializing in the theory and history of English grammar and phonology. He has published 10 monographs and about 100 papers on these subjects and on broader linguistic issues. In 1993 he retired from academia and moved to Israel where he works as a linguistic advisor and translator.
